How the wine charts are created
Every Monday, we calculate which wines were sold the most in the previous week. This results in the Top 25. There are no paid placements, no editorial selection, and no manipulation — you simply see what our customers have actually chosen.
For every wine, you can see how it has changed compared to the previous week: risers, fallers, new entries, and returnees are marked, along with the number of weeks in the chart and the best previous ranking. Using the week navigation, you can scroll back through past editions and see what has held its position and what was just a flash in the pan.
What a ranking says — and what it doesn't
A chart position is not a quality rating. It only means that many others chose this wine during that week. Nevertheless, it is useful: with an assortment of this size, the question "what are others drinking right now" is often the quickest way to get started — especially with wines and wineries you don't know yet.
Conversely, a missing chart position does not mean anything bad. Many of our best bottles are on the shelf in small quantities and never appear in the charts.
Search specifically instead of browsing
The charts mix all types of wine. If you already know what you are looking for, you can reach your goal faster via the categories: Red wine, White wine, Rosé wine, Champagne, and Sparkling wine. Port wine and Sherry are also included in the wine charts.
You can also search by taste — dry and Semi-Dry are the two largest groups. And if you want to try several wines at once, you will find pre-assembled sets in the Sample packs.
The other rankings
In addition to the weekly charts, there are the Monthly Wine Charts. They calculate over a longer period and therefore run more steadily — short-term fluctuations have less impact there. We maintain separate lists for spirits and aperitifs: Monthly Spirits Charts and Monthly Aperitif Charts.
