Bassermann-Jordan Blanc de Noir dry

Bassermann-Jordan Blanc de Noir dry is an elegant white wine made from red grapes, showcasing the craftsmanship of this traditional Palatinate estate in a modern, fresh style. The wine is produced from a blend of dark grape varieties – primarily Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon – which are vinified immediately after harvesting and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This results in a clear, very pale white wine that displays only a delicate, subtle pink hue in the glass.

The aroma unfolds with a seductive bouquet of white raspberries, white currants, red berries, and citrus notes , complemented by delicate floral accents and a hint of tropical fruit such as lychee. On the palate, the Blanc de Noir presents itself as an exceptionally fresh and lively white wine with fine, delicate acidity and excellent drinkability. The body is light to medium-bodied, smooth, and rounded, with a subtle creaminess and a long, fruity-mineral finish.

The dry Blanc de Noir is an excellent summer wine to accompany asparagus, fish, seafood, light tapas, or fresh salads. Served at around 8–10 °C , it best displays its freshness and balance and is also suitable as an uncomplicated aperitif or wine for relaxed moments in the garden or on the patio.

Bassermann-Jordan – Mundus Vini Summer Tasting 2020 named this winery "Germany's Best Winery." And rightly so, in our opinion. The family business in Deidesheim in the Palatinate region looks back on a long tradition – founded in 1718 by Andreas Jordan. Today, Jana Niederberger runs the estate with passion, making it one of the 100 best wineries in Germany. Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow on 49 hectares of vineyards, spread across 20 individual sites. The soils? A fascinating mix of variegated sandstone, loess, basalt, and porphyry. What's particularly impressive: exclusively hand-harvesting during the selection process and organic farming methods. This results in 450,000 bottles full of character each year – Palatinate love in every bottle.
