Bassermann-Jordan Riesling dry 1.0L

Bassermann-Jordan Riesling dry 1.0L
A Gutsriesling that shows what the Palatinate can do: juicy, immediately drinkable, with clear Riesling typicity.
Bassermann-Jordan is one of the oldest wineries in the Palatinate — based in Deidesheim since 1718, with a portfolio of sites that is second to none. The Gutsriesling is the accessible business card of the house: partial hand-picking, gentle pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The goal is freshness, not complexity.
In the glass, the wine appears light yellow with green reflections. On the nose, apple, a hint of white flowers, and subtle citrus notes. On the palate, juicy and lively, with a fine residual sweetness that embeds the acidity — not a tightrope walk, but balanced. The finish is short and fresh, with a light mineral tone.
- Temperature: 8–10 °C

Bassermann-Jordan – Mundus Vini Summer Tasting 2020 named this winery "Germany's Best Winery." And rightly so, in our opinion. The family business in Deidesheim in the Palatinate region looks back on a long tradition – founded in 1718 by Andreas Jordan. Today, Jana Niederberger runs the estate with passion, making it one of the 100 best wineries in Germany. Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow on 49 hectares of vineyards, spread across 20 individual sites. The soils? A fascinating mix of variegated sandstone, loess, basalt, and porphyry. What's particularly impressive: exclusively hand-harvesting during the selection process and organic farming methods. This results in 450,000 bottles full of character each year – Palatinate love in every bottle.
