Bassermann Jordan Deidesheim Riesling off-dry

Bassermann-Jordan Deidesheim Riesling feinherb is a classic village Riesling from Deidesheim in the Palatinate, characterized by the winery's long tradition and the region's fertile, mineral terroir. Here, the Riesling grapes grow in cool to moderately sunny locations, which lend the wine freshness, elegance, and a clear expression of its terroir.

In the glass, it displays a bright, luminous yellow with green reflections and a delicately fruity bouquet of apple, quince, and yellow stone fruits , accompanied by subtle citrus notes, floral nuances, and a hint of herbs. On the palate, this off-dry Riesling combines juicy fruit, lively yet very smooth acidity, and a fine residual sweetness that blends harmoniously and emphasizes the balance between sweetness and freshness. The wine is light-footed, ethereally fresh, and invigorating, with a mildly fresh finish that lingers and leaves you wanting another sip.

Served at around 6–10 °C, this Riesling is an excellent accompaniment to light dishes such as fish, seafood, salads with fruity dressings, Asian dishes with spices and lemon, or simply enjoyed on its own. A wine that impresses with its lightness, elegance, and great drinking pleasure.

Bassermann-Jordan

Bassermann-Jordan – Mundus Vini Summer Tasting 2020 named this winery "Germany's Best Winery." And rightly so, in our opinion. The family business in Deidesheim in the Palatinate region looks back on a long tradition – founded in 1718 by Andreas Jordan. Today, Jana Niederberger runs the estate with passion, making it one of the 100 best wineries in Germany. Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow on 49 hectares of vineyards, spread across 20 individual sites. The soils? A fascinating mix of variegated sandstone, loess, basalt, and porphyry. What's particularly impressive: exclusively hand-harvesting during the selection process and organic farming methods. This results in 450,000 bottles full of character each year – Palatinate love in every bottle.
