Bassermann-Jordan White Burgundy dry

The grapes were pressed using whole-cluster pressing. The must was fermented under temperature control and aged in stainless steel tanks. This Pinot Blanc impresses with its fresh, vibrant character. It presents itself with a delicate aroma of citrus fruits, a fine minerality, and floral notes. A smooth, creamy texture and a robust body make it a refined and elegant companion even to richer dishes. Bassermann-Jordan deliberately offers its Pinot Noir grape varieties without vineyard designations. With these wines, including our Bassermann-Jordan Pinot Blanc, the varietal character takes center stage. The vineyards for the Pinot Blanc are located in the Ruppertsberg and Deidesheim regions.

Bassermann-Jordan

Bassermann-Jordan – Mundus Vini Summer Tasting 2020 named this winery "Germany's Best Winery." And rightly so, in our opinion. The family business in Deidesheim in the Palatinate region looks back on a long tradition – founded in 1718 by Andreas Jordan. Today, Jana Niederberger runs the estate with passion, making it one of the 100 best wineries in Germany. Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow on 49 hectares of vineyards, spread across 20 individual sites. The soils? A fascinating mix of variegated sandstone, loess, basalt, and porphyry. What's particularly impressive: exclusively hand-harvesting during the selection process and organic farming methods. This results in 450,000 bottles full of character each year – Palatinate love in every bottle.
