Castelfeder Sauvignon Blanc Raif

Castelfeder Sauvignon Blanc Raif
The Raif from Castelfeder shows what Sauvignon Blanc from South Tyrol can do: not a loud firework display of aromas, but precision and depth.
The Castelfeder winery is located in Neumarkt in the South Tyrolean lowlands – one of Italy's lesser-known but exciting wine regions. This family-run winery has been working with the indigenous vineyards of the lowlands for decades and has built a solid reputation for aromatic white wines. The name Raif refers to a specific single vineyard site.
In the glass, the wine shines a clear yellow-green. The nose opens with elderflower , fig , and a distinctive note of nettle – the typical green backbone of Sauvignon Blanc, here rounded off with southern Alpine warmth. On the palate, it is juicy and well-structured, with a mineral acidity that keeps it fresh without being sharp. The finish is delicate and clean.
