Six rosé wines, six regions, one country: The Italo Rosé Sample pack shows how differently Italy approaches Rosato. From the volcanic slopes of Basilicata to the foothills of the Alps in South Tyrol, from Piedmont to the heat of Salento – all six bottles speak different dialects but share the same foundation: freshness, fruit, and a clear picture of their origin. Anyone who thinks rosé is the same everywhere will be proven wrong here.

Two wines represent the breadth of this pack. The Cereja Langhe Rosato by Tenuta Carretta from Piedmont is a Rosato that breaks expectations: Nebbiolo and Barbera macerate on the skins for a few hours, resulting in a color reminiscent of onion skins. Intensely herbal on the nose with floral notes of fresh blossoms, full-bodied and mineral on the palate, with a fine spice – quite different from the typical summer wine. At the other end of the spectrum is the Calafuria Rosé by Tormaresca from Salento: Negroamaro, gently harvested and vinified, shows its accessible side here. White peach, roses, and a hint of citrus blossom on the nose, fresh and lively on the palate, with a spicy line on the finish that makes this southern Italian grape variety unmistakable.
The remaining four bottles complete the picture: the Roseri Chiaretto by Cà Maiol from Lake Garda with wild strawberry and Mediterranean herbs from the classic Groppello blend, the Pipoli Rosato by Vigneti del Vulture from Basilicata with raspberry and strawberry from volcanic soils around Monte Vulture, the Rosé di Regaleali by Tasca d'Almerita from Sicily with Nerello Mascalese, pomegranate, and clear acidity from high altitudes between 400 and 900 meters – as well as the Lagrein Rosato by Castelfeder from South Tyrol, which glows in a strong antique pink and translates the depth of the porphyry soil of the South Tyrolean lowlands into lively fruit.
Pairs well with: Vitello tonnato, grilled sea bass with capers, pasta with seafood, burrata with tomatoes, or a summery antipasti buffet. All six wines also work as an aperitif – served chilled at about 10–12 °C. The pack is suitable as a gift for wine enthusiasts, as a basis for a tasting with friends, or as an introduction to the diversity of Italian Rosato.
