Rosé tasting pack

Product description
Six rosés from four countries and regions — and not a single one is a filler. This pack shows how broad the spectrum of a wine type can be that was long underestimated: from ultra-pale Provence classics to structured Southern Italians, from German precision work from the Palatinate to organic wines from the Marche. Anyone who previously only knew rosé as a summer drink will learn six arguments here for enjoying it all year round.
The strongest contrast in the pack is provided by two wines that could hardly be more different. The Rosa dei Frati DOC from Cà dei Frati on Lake Garda — a cuvée of Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Barbera — brings salmon-colored depth, wild strawberry, herbs, and an acidity that stimulates the appetite rather than being harsh. Opposite this is the Pipoli Rosato from Vigneti del Vulture in Basilicata: Aglianico, otherwise known for tannin-rich red wines, shows its fruity side here — raspberry, strawberry, lively acidity, carried by volcanic soils on Monte Vulture. More structure than one would expect from a rosé at first glance.
The rest of the pack consistently fills out the spectrum. The Calalenta Rosé from the Fantini Group in Abruzzo — 99 points in the Luca Maroni Guide 2024 — focuses on delicate light pink, strawberry, and watermelon with a slightly mineral finish. Also from Lake Garda comes the Zenato Bardolino Chiaretto, a strawberry-colored rosé with beautiful cherry notes and a fine harmony between fruit and freshness (90 points Wine Enthusiast). The Galiardi Ro-Sa-To from the Marche, organically farmed on the hills of the Colli Pesaresi, remains deliberately unpretentious: light, floral, dry, aged in stainless steel tanks so that the fruit remains unadulterated. The German contribution is provided by Matthias Gaul from the Southern Palatinate: Le Rosé is created through short maceration and gentle pressing — dry, lively, aromatically precise.
Pairs well with: grilled sea bass with herb butter, seafood antipasti, a summery tomato salad with burrata, light pasta with zucchini, or a risotto with shrimp. Serve all six wines well chilled at 8 to 12 °C. The pack is suitable as an introduction to the topic of rosé, as a gift for wine enthusiasts, or as a supply for the next terrace gathering — six bottles at a special price compared to buying them individually.
