The Lergenmüller Pinot Gris dry wine sets the tone – from a family winery that has been cultivating wine in the Palatinate since 1538. Ripe pear, white peach, lively acidity without alcoholic heaviness: clearly structured, suitable for everyday enjoyment, with a genuine connection to its origin. At the other end of the spectrum is the Bernhart Pinot Gris "Auf der Grenze" (On the Border) : ripe apricot, stone fruit, a hint of herbal salinity, and a mineral finish with considerable impact – more compact, more serious, for those who prefer their Pinot Gris with backbone rather than a smooth, creamy texture. In between lies the Markus Schneider Pinot Gris with its vibrant acidity and delicate pineapple notes, while the Markus Pfaffmann, with its juicy stone fruit and subtle spice, showcases the fuller, more approachable side of the grape variety.
