Castelfeder Pinot Nero Glen

Castelfeder Pinot Nero Glen
A South Tyrolean Pinot Nero that shows what the Alps can make of this Burgundian grape variety: cool elegance, clear fruit, lively structure.
Castelfeder has cultivated vineyards in the Überetsch and Unterland regions for generations – altitudes between 250 and 900 meters, which ensure slow ripening and pronounced aromas. The Glen is the entry point into the estate's Pinot Noir program: approachable, but not simple.
In the glass, it shines a clear ruby red. The nose offers aromas of sour cherry and fresh raspberry, along with a hint of violet and a subtle earthy note. On the palate, it reveals soft, well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, and a fruit-driven, medium-length finish.
Ready to drink now, but will keep for another two to three years without any problems. Serving temperature: 16–17 °C. Pairs well with veal schnitzel, duck breast with cherry sauce, porcini risotto, or a strong mountain cheese.
