Mont Mes Pinot Grigio dry

A Pinot Grigio from South Tyrol that leaves behind the cliché of a pale, nondescript variety: fresh, with genuine expression and clear origin.

Castelfeder is located in Auer in the South Tyrolean lowlands, wedged between the Dolomites and Lake Garda. The family winery works with sites that benefit from temperature differences between day and night — exactly what gives white wines like this their tension.

In the glass, the Mont Mes shows a bright straw yellow. The nose brings ripe pear and apple, plus a fresh, slightly floral tone. On the palate, it is supple without appearing heavy — medium body, well-integrated acidity, round, clean finish without bitterness.
