How the white wine charts are created

At the beginning of each month, we calculate which white wines were our bestsellers in the previous month and compile them into a top 10 list. No paid placements, no editorial selection — the ranking is based solely on sales.

For each wine, you can see the change compared to the previous month, the number of months it has been in the chart, and its best previous ranking. You can use the month navigation to access past editions.

Why this additional list exists

White wine is our strongest wine category, which is why it dominates the main wine chart. This list is more finely resolved: it shows the ranking within white wines instead of letting them compete against red, rosé, and champagne.

A chart position is not a quality rating. It means that many others chose this wine this month — especially useful for wineries and regions you are not yet familiar with. Conversely, a missing spot does not mean anything: many of our best bottles are in such limited supply that they can mathematically never make it into a top 10.

Search more specifically

The entire white wine assortment can be found under White Wine, with the largest single grape variety found under Riesling. You can search by taste via dry and Semi-Dry, and by origin via Germany, Italy, and France.

The other rankings

For the other colors, there are Monthly Red Wine Charts and Monthly Rosé Wine Charts. Across all wine types, we calculate the weekly VinoCharts and the Monthly Wine Charts.
