Enate Chardonnay 234

Enate Chardonnay 234
A Chardonnay from the Aragonese highlands – structured, dry and with the characteristic freshness that has given the Somontano terroir its reputation.
Enate is located in Somontano, one of Spain's most exciting wine regions, nestled between the Pyrenees and the Ebro Valley. This winery, specializing in international grape varieties, makes full use of its altitude: cool nights slow down ripening and preserve natural acidity – a clear advantage for Chardonnay.
The Chardonnay 234 displays aromas of pear, apricot, and a hint of hazelnut on the nose, along with a subtle mineral depth. On the palate, it is dry and taut, with yellow stone fruit in the mid-palate and a long, slightly salty-mineral finish. No heaviness, no opulence – rather the cool, clear lines of a well-made white wine with backbone.
- Dishes: Grilled sea bass, chicken with lemon and herbs, creamy pasta with mushrooms or young goat cheese
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Occasion: An uncomplicated accompaniment to dinner, also suitable as an aperitif with olives and almonds.

Founded in 1991 in Somontano, Aragon, Bodega Enate has since become one of the most influential names in the Spanish wine scene, now cultivating 500 hectares of vineyards at the foot of the Pyrenees. What sets Enate apart from other bodegas is its deeply ingrained three-pronged identity: quality winemaking, unwavering sustainability, and a profound connection to contemporary art, which is reflected even in the wine labels. Vineyards at an altitude of around 600 meters, sandy loam soils, and a daily temperature range of up to 15°C ensure slow-ripening grapes with pronounced varietal character. The result is wines that prioritize balance and elegance – not a flashy display, but precise craftsmanship from the heart of Aragon.
