Enate Cabernet-Merlot

Enate harvests its grapes from 400 hectares of its own vineyards, located in the Enate Valley and around the villages of Salas Altas, Salas Bajas, and Cregenzán. The cool winds in June, when the grapes begin to grow, ensure that daytime temperatures drop from 35°C to 17-18°C at night. The altitude, between 550 and 600 meters above sea level, and its low humidity allow for a significant reduction in the treatments typically required in vineyards. This allows us to practice more organic viticulture. Currently, production is divided between 85% red wines, 10% white wines, and 5% rosé. The Enate Cabernet-Merlot impresses with juicy, smooth, and elegant aromas of blackberries and currants with a hint of vanilla – very attractive and harmonious. Wine Industry 2021: 89 points, Top 50

Enate

Founded in 1991 in Somontano, Aragon, Bodega Enate has since become one of the most influential names in the Spanish wine scene, now cultivating 500 hectares of vineyards at the foot of the Pyrenees. What sets Enate apart from other bodegas is its deeply ingrained three-pronged identity: quality winemaking, unwavering sustainability, and a profound connection to contemporary art, which is reflected even in the wine labels. Vineyards at an altitude of around 600 meters, sandy loam soils, and a daily temperature range of up to 15°C ensure slow-ripening grapes with pronounced varietal character. The result is wines that prioritize balance and elegance – not a flashy display, but precise craftsmanship from the heart of Aragon.
