How the monthly charts are created

At the beginning of the month, we calculate which wines were sold the most in the previous month and compile the Top 25 from them. No paid placements, no editorial selection — the order is determined solely by sales.

For every wine, you can see the change compared to the previous month, the number of months in the chart, and the best previous ranking. You can access past editions via the month navigation.

Month or week — what is the difference?

A month is the calmer period. A single good week is not enough for a ranking here, and a wine that holds its position over weeks moves further ahead than one with a one-time spike. If you want to know what is currently in motion, the weekly charts are the faster answer. If you want to know what has really established itself, this is the list.

What you can take away from this

A chart position is not a rating, but an indication: many others have chosen this wine this month. For getting started with an unknown winery or an unknown region, this is often the fastest way. Conversely, a missing chart position says nothing about the quality — many bottles are in such small quantities that they can mathematically never make it into a Top 25.

Search specifically instead of browsing

The list mixes all types of wine. If you are searching specifically, the categories lead to the goal faster: Red wine, White wine, Rosé wine, Champagne, and Sparkling wine. You can also search by origin — Italy, France, and Germany are the three largest countries in the assortment. Those who want to try several wines side by side will find ready-made sets in the Sample packs.
