Pipoli Rosato Basilicata

A rosé that shows what southern Italy is capable of: The Aglianico grape, otherwise known for tannin-rich red wines, reveals its fruity, lively side here.

Basilicata at the foot of the Vulture
Vigneti del Vulture cultivates vineyards around the extinct volcano Monte Vulture in northern Basilicata. The volcanic soils with their mineral reserves and the temperature differences between hot days and cool nights characterize wines with structure and freshness – including the rosé.

Sensors
In the glass, the Pipoli Rosato shines a vibrant raspberry pink. The nose reveals fresh raspberry and strawberry, complemented by riper notes of candied cherry and plum. On the palate, it is juicy, with lively acidity and a clean, fruit-driven finish without any heaviness. Luca Maroni awarded it 93 points in 2018, and it received a gold medal at the 2021 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

Drinking recommendation
Serve at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled octopus with lemon, burrata with tomatoes, or a summer antipasto platter. Also a great choice as an aperitif on the patio.

Delicious rosé, good price/performance ratio

Everything good, delicious wine. However, the wine has a significantly paler rosé color than shown.

Vigneti del Vulture

Discover the Vigneti del Vulture winery, which gets its name from the Il Vulture volcano, through which lava soil was formed in prehistoric times, which is rich in minerals and thus offers excellent conditions for the vines of the Pipoli and Piano del Cerro wines. The rosé as well as the white wine present fruity, floral notes, whereas the red wines lean towards spicy notes.
