Starting with the 2011 vintage, the Marchese Antinori was upgraded. The grapes now come exclusively from Antinori's top vineyard, Tignanello. The Chianti Classico Riserva consists of at least 90% Sangiovese grapes and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, along with other complementary grape varieties. A full-bodied and well-rounded wine with an intense ruby-red color and garnet hues. Aged for 14 months in barriques, its aroma is distinctly reminiscent of cherries and violets, with hints of tobacco. Falstaff Magazine for the 2015 vintage: 92 points. CellarTracker for the 2015 vintage: 91 points.

Marchesi Antinori from Florence is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in the world: the family has been cultivating wine continuously since 1385 and still owns and manages the company today. In 1971, Piero Antinori, together with oenologist Giacomo Tachis, laid the foundation for a revolution when he created Tignanello, the first Super Tuscan – a Sangiovese-Cabernet blend aged in barriques, which fundamentally changed the wine world. Today, Piero's daughters Albiera, Allegra, and Alessia manage the company, which owns approximately 1,200 hectares of vineyards in Tuscany, Umbria, Piedmont, Apulia, and California. At Antinori, tradition and bold innovation are not opposites, but rather the foundation of every single bottle.
