Maremma – wild Tuscany in the glass
The Maremma is located in the southwest of Tuscany, close to the Tyrrhenian Sea. The climate is warm, the landscape rugged and original – and that is exactly what you feel in the wines. Powerful red wines with depth and character define the region, but fresh white wines and rosés that reflect the Mediterranean lifestyle are also produced here.
Style and character
Maremma wines stand for substance without heaviness. The red wines often show dark fruit, a certain spice, and a pleasantly dry finish – whether as an uncomplicated everyday wine or as a serious bottle for special moments. International varieties like Malbec have their place here just as much as classic Tuscan cuvées.
Our range
At Vinoscout, you will find seven wines from the Maremma that cover a real range: from the accessible Cecchi La Mora Rosso starting at 8.40 EUR for a relaxed evening to the Ampio from Le Mortelle for 251.26 EUR – a wine that shows the full seriousness of the region. With several wines from the Le Mortelle winery (part of the Antinori family) as well as wines from Cecchi and Antinori themselves, you have hand-picked producers here who truly care about the Maremma. Take a look and let yourself be surprised by the wild side of Tuscany.
