Wines from the Marche – Italy's Adriatic treasure chest
The Marche is one of Italy's most exciting wine regions – and at the same time one of the most underrated. Wedged between the Apennines and the Adriatic, characterized by rolling hills, fresh sea breezes, and a deeply rooted winemaking tradition, the Marche produces wines that combine character, elegance, and authenticity. At Vinoscout, you will find a carefully curated selection from this region – with wines you won't soon forget.
Wine style and character: between freshness and depth
What distinguishes the Marche is the remarkable range of its wines. The white wines – above all from the indigenous Pecorino and Passerina varieties – impress with lively acidity, floral aromas, and a mineral freshness that reflects the Mediterranean climate. The red wines, often based on Montepulciano and Sangiovese, appear powerful and structured, with dark fruit aromas, spicy notes, and a long, velvety finish. If you are looking for wines with personality, the Marche is the right place for you.
Important origins in the range
The Vinoscout range from the Marche is significantly shaped by the Velenosi winery – one of the region's most renowned producers based in Ascoli Piceno. The wines from Velenosi stand for artisanal precision, loyalty to terroir, and a consistent focus on quality. In our offer, you will find wines from the following appellations:
- Offida DOCG – one of the most respected designations of the Marche, both for red wines (Offida Rosso) and for white wines from Pecorino
- Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore – powerful red wines from the southern part of the Marche, with special depth and aging potential
- Marche IGT – the flexible designation of origin that gives winemakers room for creative, characterful cuvées
Highlights from the range
The magnum bottles in the range deserve special attention – ideal for special occasions and as a gift. The Roggio del Filare Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore Magnum and the Ludi Offida Rosso DOCG Magnum are among the top wines in the range. If you are looking for an elegant introduction to the world of the Marche, you will find excellent options with the Rêve Pecorino Offida DOCG or the Velenosi Passerina Brut Metodo Charmat. The range extends from accessible entry-level wines to noble rarities – there is something for every occasion and every budget.
