Titulus Verdicchio dei Castelli Jesi DOC Classico

Titulus is the classic among Verdicchio wines — and not only because of its distinctive amphora bottle, which has been a hallmark for decades.

Fazi Battaglia is one of the pioneers of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. The winery in the Marche region, nestled between the Apennines and the Adriatic coast, has significantly shaped this grape variety and brought Verdicchio out of the shadow of everyday wines. The grapes come from the hills of the Klassiko area, where calcareous soils and temperature variations between day and night contribute to the wine's structure and freshness.

In the glass, the Titulus reveals aromas of green apple, white peach, and a hint of citrus peel. Characteristic of the grape variety: a lively acidity and a slightly bitter almond note on the finish—the hallmark of Verdicchio and an expression of its varietal character. Medium-bodied, light, and easy to drink.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with pasta with seafood, pan-fried cod, or light vegetable quiches. Also a good choice as a simple aperitif.

Fazi Battaglia

The Italian winery Fazi Battaglia is located in the Marche region and was founded in 1949 by the grandfather of the current owner, Maria Luisa Gianotti. Spread across 12 vineyard sites, the estate boasts a total vineyard area of 280 hectares. The clay and limestone soils ensure excellent grape growth, further enhanced by the region's temperate climate. In the cellar, Fazi Battaglia wines mature in salvonian and French oak barrels before bottling. Among the grape varieties cultivated for their wines are Montepulciano, Verdicchio, and Sangiovese. Fazi Battaglia produces and sells approximately three million bottles of wine annually.
