Velenosi Ninfa Rosso Marche IGT Magnum

Velenosi Ninfa Rosso Marche IGT Magnum
The Ninfa Rosso from the Velenosi winery is a robust red wine from the Marche region – one of the most exciting regions of central Italy, often overshadowed by Tuscany, but boasting its own distinct character. In the magnum bottle, it matures more slowly, developing greater depth.
Velenosi is one of the most renowned wineries in the Marche region, based in Ascoli Piceno. The winery works with indigenous and international grape varieties from the IGT Marche area and is known for structured, approachable red wines with aging potential.
In the glass, the Ninfa displays a deep ruby red color. The nose offers aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and a hint of licorice, along with spicy notes of black pepper and tobacco. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with velvety tannins and a subtle graphite note on the finish – overall, it is well-rounded and balanced.
- Dishes: Roast lamb, wild boar sauce on pappardelle, mature pecorino cheese
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Drinking window: Now until 2028; the magnum bottle offers a little more leeway.
