Velenosi Falerio dei Colli Ascolani DOC

A fresh white wine from the hills around Ascoli Piceno – uncomplicated, lively, and typical of the Marche region.

Velenosi is one of the most famous wineries in the Marche region in central Italy. The family business from Ascoli Piceno manages sites on sandy and clayey soils of the Colli Ascolani and has been working for decades to bring the autochthonous grape varieties of the region into focus. The Falerio DOC is one of the traditional white wine appellations of the Marche – a cuvée of Trebbiano, Passerina, and Pecorino.

In the glass, it shows a light straw yellow. The nose is fresh and clear: hawthorn blossom, lemon peel, and a hint of green apple. On the palate, lightweight with lively acidity, subtle spice, and a clean, short finish.

An everyday wine that is best drunk young.
