Solestà Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore

The Solestà Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore from Velenosi is an elegant, modern interpretation of the noble Rosso Piceno from the heart of the southern Marche region . This blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes grows on clay-limestone soils near Ascoli Piceno, where Montepulciano contributes warmth, depth, and dark fruit, while Sangiovese provides freshness, vibrancy, and elegance.

In the glass, it shines an intense ruby red with garnet reflections . The nose opens with aromas of cassis, blackberry, black cherry, and tobacco , accompanied by a hint of cinnamon, licorice, and delicate vanilla from the barrel aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied, warm, and rounded, with velvety, perfectly integrated tannins and a spicy, invigorating finish.

Matured for 12–16 months in new barriques , with 14.0% ABV , decanted for at least one hour and served at 16–18°C . Ideal with beef steaks, braised leg of lamb, venison ragout, and mature hard cheeses – aging potential up to 7 years .
