Liguria
The narrow coastal region between the Alps and the Mediterranean is Italy's most heroic wine region! On steep terraces that rise spectacularly above the sea, unique wines are produced in tiny quantities. The fragrant Vermentino and the powerful Rossese di Dolceacqua show you how salt air and sunshine create wines of unparalleled elegance. Here, the winemakers still work as they did centuries ago – every vine is tended by hand, every drop a small miracle.
This region perfectly embodies what vinoSCOUT is all about: authentic discoveries with unique stories. Ideal for wine lovers who appreciate the exceptional and rare. A true treasure for collectors and connoisseurs!
Up to 65,000 hectoliters of wine are produced annually on 1,500 hectares of vineyards here. Despite the relatively small size of the wine-growing region, up to 100 different grape varieties are cultivated in Liguria, the majority of which are indigenous.
