Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 1.5L

A Chianti Classico Riserva from the house of Antinori — one of the most famous wine estates in Tuscany, which has been family-owned for over 600 years. The magnum bottle (1.5 l) ensures slower, more even maturation and makes this wine the ideal choice for the cellar.

Antinori manages several estates in the Chianti Classico area between Florence and Siena, including Tignanello and Badia a Passignano. The Riserva matures for at least 24 months according to DOCG regulations, part of which is in oak barrels — this noticeably shapes its structure and style.

In the glass, the wine shows the classic profile of Sangiovese: sour cherry, dried plum, and pomegranate, underscored by cedar wood, tobacco, and a hint of clove. The tannins are ripe and firm, the acidity lively — typical for Sangiovese vines on yellow tuff and Galestro soils. The finish is long, slightly spicy, with a balsamic note.

Drinking temperature: 16–18 °C.
Pairs with: Bistecca alla Fiorentina, game ragù, aged Pecorino, or grilled lamb with rosemary.
