Peppoli Magnum
Antinori's Pèppoli is a Chianti Classico that brings the best of Tuscany into the bottle – fruity, structured and with the typical character of Sangiovese.
The Antinori winery manages the Pèppoli estate in the heart of Chianti Classico, between Florence and Siena. The Antinori family is one of Italy's oldest wine dynasties – over 600 years of winemaking, still family-owned today. Pèppoli is their approachable classic: aged for nine months in Slavonian oak, which gives the wine structure without masking the fruit.
In the glass, it displays a bright ruby red with violet reflections. The nose offers aromas of sour cherry and strawberry, along with delicate spice notes of cinnamon and black pepper, and a subtle hint of toast from oak aging. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with lively acidity – typical of Sangiovese – fine tannins, and a pleasantly dry finish.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Drinking window: now until 2028.
It pairs well with pasta al ragù, grilled lamb chops, bistecca alla Fiorentina, or mature pecorino cheese. The magnum bottle makes it the perfect choice for a dinner party.
