Grand Cuvée 1531 de Aimery Crémant Rosé Brut de Limoux
A Crémant Rosé from Limoux — the oldest sparkling wine region in France, about 25 kilometers south of Carcassonne in the Languedoc. The Sieur d'Arques cooperative produces this cuvée with a high proportion of Pinot Noir; a short maceration period before pressing results in the characteristic salmon-pink color with brilliant reflections.
On the nose, white blossoms, ripe peach, and a hint of fresh cherry. On the palate, the Pinot Noir offers texture and red fruit; the mousse is fine and persistent, and the finish is smooth without any harshness. Gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole Paris 2016.
As an aperitif or with salmon tartare, goat cheese crostini and strawberries. Serving temperature: 6–8 °C.
