The grapes for the Feudo Arancio Rosso Riserva are harvested in the Ragusa and Agrigento regions of Sicily. The color is an intense dark red with garnet undertones. Its bouquet is reminiscent of red fruits such as blackberries, raspberries, and cherries, along with floral notes of violets and hints of tobacco and vanilla. The taste is delicate yet full-bodied, with good structure and structure. Elegant tannins complete the positive impression. Uncomplicated and really good

A nice, uncomplicated wine that comes along with pleasant red fruits (no fruit salad!) and shows a clear barrique. Discovered the wine at a high-priced hotel for dinner.

Feudo Arancio

Feudo Arancio – the “orange farm” – was founded in 2001 by the Trentino cooperative Mezzacorona and today cultivates 700 hectares of vineyards on Sicily’s windy southern coast, divided between two estates in Sambuca di Sicilia and Acate. Behind the facade of a classic baglio, the traditional Sicilian country house, oenologist Matteo Covazzi works with state-of-the-art cellar technology. Sustainability is not just a buzzword here: in 2002, Feudo Arancio was the first Italian winery to receive EMAS certification for its entire production chain and stores rainwater in seven artificial lakes with a total capacity of 900,000 cubic meters. The result is honest, characterful Sicilian wines at a price that requires no second thought.
