The result is a very pleasing, well-structured Nero d'Avola of remarkable quality. The Nero d'Avola grape is synonymous with exemplary Sicilian wines. Feudo Arancio Nero d'Avola displays the typical ruby-red color with a purplish hue. Its intense bouquet is expressive, reminiscent of dark berries such as currants or wild berries. The palate is velvety, with pronounced fruit notes.

Feudo Arancio – the “orange farm” – was founded in 2001 by the Trentino cooperative Mezzacorona and today cultivates 700 hectares of vineyards on Sicily’s windy southern coast, divided between two estates in Sambuca di Sicilia and Acate. Behind the facade of a classic baglio, the traditional Sicilian country house, oenologist Matteo Covazzi works with state-of-the-art cellar technology. Sustainability is not just a buzzword here: in 2002, Feudo Arancio was the first Italian winery to receive EMAS certification for its entire production chain and stores rainwater in seven artificial lakes with a total capacity of 900,000 cubic meters. The result is honest, characterful Sicilian wines at a price that requires no second thought.
