I Muri Negroamaro Puglia

I Muri Negroamaro Puglia
Negroamaro from Salento — that is southern Italian warmth in its purest form: lots of fruit, spicy depth, no hint of restraint.
Vigneti del Salento produces this wine from the indigenous Negroamaro grape variety, which is native to the flat hinterland of Apulia. The red clay and limestone soils retain the Mediterranean heat and give the wine its characteristic density.
In the glass, the I Muri displays a deep ruby-violet color. The nose is dominated by dark blackberry and plum, underpinned by maquis herbs—thyme, oregano, and a hint of dried bay leaf. On the palate, it is soft and rounded, with moderate tannins and a subtle spiciness in the long finish.
Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with grilled lamb chops, pasta with meat ragù, mature pecorino cheese, or hearty salami. Also convincing as an uncomplicated evening wine on its own.

Vigneti del Salento is an Italian winery located in the Apulia region. The prevailing climate facilitates grape development through temperature fluctuations between day and night and the proximity to the sea. Additionally, the intense heat partially dries the grapes, increasing their sugar content. All grapes are harvested by hand and processed into wine under the supervision of the winemakers. Vigneti del Salento cultivates grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Montepulciano, Primitivo, and Merlot.
