Vigne Vecchie Leggenda Primitivo di Manduria

Vigne Vecchie is made from grapes harvested by hand from vines over seventy years old. This wine has an intense ruby-red color. On the nose, it displays complex aromas of fruit, plum, and cherry with a hint of tobacco and a touch of spice. Rich on the palate, this wine has a full-bodied, smooth flavor, with noticeable fine tannins. Intriguing aromas of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla also emerge. Its predecessor, "Oversettanta," caused an international sensation with the 2010 vintage. The prevailing climate facilitates grape development through temperature fluctuations between day and night and the proximity to the sea. Additionally, the intense heat partially dries the grapes, increasing their sugar content. All grapes are harvested by hand and processed into wine under the supervision of the winemakers. Vigneti del Salento cultivates grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Montepulciano, Primitivo, and Merlot.
