Zolla Primitivo di Manduria Riserva

Primitivo di Manduria in Riserva quality: 12 months of barrel aging in French and American oak give this wine from the heel of Apulia a round, multi-layered character that goes far beyond simple fruit.

Vigneti del Salento works in the heart of Apulia with Primitivo — a grape variety that develops its full potential on the clay-rich soils of the Murgia plateau and in the coastal climate of the Ionian Sea. The Manduria DOC is one of the most prestigious designations of origin for Primitivo in all of southern Italy.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose is dominated by black cherry and blackberry, followed by blackcurrant, vanilla, roasted coffee, and a hint of toffee—a classic profile that the oak aging underscores with depth and structure. On the palate, it is full-bodied with soft, ripe tannins and a long, spicy finish.

Vineyards of Salento

Vigneti del Salento is an Italian winery located in the Apulia region. The prevailing climate facilitates grape development through temperature fluctuations between day and night and the proximity to the sea. Additionally, the intense heat partially dries the grapes, increasing their sugar content. All grapes are harvested by hand and processed into wine under the supervision of the winemakers. Vigneti del Salento cultivates grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Montepulciano, Primitivo, and Merlot.
