Zolla Primitivo di Manduria Riserva

Primitivo di Manduria in Riserva quality: 12 months of barrel aging in French and American oak give this wine from the heel of Italy's boot a round, multi-layered character that goes far beyond simple fruit.

Vigneti del Salento works with Primitivo in the heart of Apulia — a grape variety that unfolds its full power on the clay-rich soils of the Murgia plateau and in the coastal climate of the Ionian Sea. The DOC Manduria is one of the most renowned designations of origin for Primitivo in all of Southern Italy.

The glass reveals a deep ruby red with violet reflections. Black cherry and blackberry dominate the nose, followed by blackcurrant, vanilla, roasted coffee, and a hint of toffee — a classic profile that the wood aging underscores with depth and structure. Full-bodied on the palate, with soft, ripe tannins and a long, spicy finish.

Vigneti del Salento

Vigneti del Salento is an Italian winery located in the Apulia region. The prevailing climate facilitates grape development through temperature fluctuations between day and night and the proximity to the sea. Additionally, the intense heat partially dries the grapes, increasing their sugar content. All grapes are harvested by hand and processed into wine under the supervision of the winemakers. Vigneti del Salento cultivates grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Montepulciano, Primitivo, and Merlot.
