Feudo Arancio Tinchitè Rosato Terre Siciliane IGT

A dry Rosato made from Nero d'Avola that shows the bright, fresh side of Sicily: luminous, delicate pink in the glass, and with clear fruit. If you are looking for a rosé for warm evenings, this is the right choice.

Feudo Arancio sources the grapes from vineyards in the southeastern provinces of Ragusa and Agrigento. Harvesting is done early, between mid and late August, so that the acidity remains fresh. The grapes are gently pressed, which gives the wine color without losing its delicacy. Fermentation takes place with selected yeasts at a controlled 16 to 18 °C over seven to nine days. This preserves the aromatics.

In the nose, there are red berries, pomegranate, and a hint of citrus. On the palate, the wine feels juicy and fresh, the acidity is lively, and the finish is clear and clean. Recommendation: As an aperitif, with Vitello tonnato, pasta with tomatoes and basil, grilled shrimp, or Caprese. Best served well chilled at 8 to 10 °C.

The Winery

Feudo Arancio

Feudo Arancio – the "orange farm" – was founded in 2001 by the Trentino cooperative Mezzacorona and today cultivates 700 hectares of vineyards on Sicily's windy south coast, divided between two estates in Sambuca di Sicilia and Acate.

Behind the facade of a classic Baglio, the traditional Sicilian country estate, oenologist Matteo Covazzi works with state-of-the-art cellar technology.

Sustainability is not just a buzzword here: in 2002, Feudo Arancio was the first Italian winery with EMAS certification for the entire production chain and stores rainwater in seven artificial lakes with a capacity of 900,000 cubic meters. The result is honest, characterful Sicilian wines at a price that requires no long deliberation.
