Feudo Arancio Rosato Sicilia DOC

Feudo Arancio Rosato Sicilia DOC
An uncomplicated Sicilian for warm evenings: fresh, fruity, with the sun-drenched lightness that defines the island.
Feudo Arancio manages around 500 hectares in southwestern Sicily, between Menfi and Sambuca di Sicilia. The combination of limestone-clay soils, dry summers, and cool sea winds from the Mediterranean results in grapes with natural ripeness and preserved acid play. The Rosato is based on Nero d'Avola, the classic red wine variety of the island – vinified as a rosé, it shows its more delicate side.
In the glass, it shines in a light salmon pink. On the nose, fresh raspberry, a hint of pomegranate, and white peach. On the palate, light-weight with crisp acidity, subtle minerality, and a clean, short finish. No wood aging, no weight – that is intentional, not a deficiency.
- Food: Grilled calamari, Caprese, light pasta al Pomodoro, or simply an evening on the terrace with olives and focaccia
- Temperature: 8–10 °C

Feudo Arancio – the “orange farm” – was founded in 2001 by the Trentino cooperative Mezzacorona and today cultivates 700 hectares of vineyards on Sicily’s windy southern coast, divided between two estates in Sambuca di Sicilia and Acate. Behind the facade of a classic baglio, the traditional Sicilian country house, oenologist Matteo Covazzi works with state-of-the-art cellar technology. Sustainability is not just a buzzword here: in 2002, Feudo Arancio was the first Italian winery to receive EMAS certification for its entire production chain and stores rainwater in seven artificial lakes with a total capacity of 900,000 cubic meters. The result is honest, characterful Sicilian wines at a price that requires no second thought.
