Regaleali Rosso Nero d'Avola Sicilia DOC

Sicily's most widely planted red wine variety in its most accessible form: the Regaleali Rosso from Tasca d'Almerita shows what Nero d'Avola can achieve in everyday life — without a long ripening period, without fuss.

Tasca d'Almerita has been cultivating the Regaleali vineyard in the heart of Sicily for over 200 years, at an altitude of over 400 meters in the hinterland of Palermo. The more moderate climate at this altitude prevents over-ripening—crucial for ensuring that the wines retain freshness and structure, and don't just convey warmth from the sun.

In the glass, it shines a deep ruby red. The nose reveals sweet cherry and dark forest berries, along with a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and juicy, with velvety tannins and a pleasant length – no harsh finish, no excessive oak.

Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Not a wine for aging, drink now.

  • Pasta al ragù or Lasagne

  • Hard cheeses like Pecorino Siciliano
