Catarratto is one of the most important white grape varieties in Sicily and for a long time was known primarily as a silent worker in the background – as a base for blends or Marsala. Today, the variety shows what it is made of: dry white wines with fresh acidity, a light body, and a character that reflects the Sicilian sun as well as the cool sea breeze. Typical are a lively, clear fruit and a pleasant minerality that makes the wine vibrant and enjoyable – without being intrusive.
