Melon de Bourgogne at Vinoscout

Melon de Bourgogne

Melon de Bourgogne is a white grape variety whose name refers not to a fruit, but to the round shape of its leaves. Its wines impress with a crisp freshness, aromas of green apple and citrus, and a characteristic salty minerality reminiscent of the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean – dry, vibrant, and distinctive in the glass.

Originally from Burgundy, the grape variety found its true home at the mouth of the Loire near Nantes after the great frost of 1709, where it forms the basis of the famous Muscadet . At Vinoscout you'll discover six carefully selected wines of this grape variety – from everyday bottles starting at €6.80 to premium bottlings for €15.90.
