Regent at Vinoscout

Regent

Regent is one of the most exciting new German grape varieties: bred in 1967 at Geilweilerhof in the Palatinate, it impresses with its deep, dark color and a full-bodied character reminiscent of ripe dark fruits, spicy notes, and a pleasant structure. As a PIWI grape, it naturally possesses resistance to fungal diseases – a real advantage for sustainable viticulture with significantly reduced pesticide use.

Regent grapes are primarily grown in Germany , where they have become increasingly popular since the 1990s – from the Palatinate to Saxony. At Vinoscout, you'll discover four carefully selected Regent wines priced between €4.99 and €12.95: an ideal introduction to this characterful, sustainably produced red wine variety.
