Grapes of the Gutedel variety

Gutedel

Gutedel is one of the oldest grape varieties in the world – and one of the most underestimated. Its wines delight with a fine, restrained nature: light, fresh, with delicate fruit and a pleasant drinking pleasure that makes them the ideal companion for relaxed evenings. Anyone not looking for a loud, opulent wine, but rather honest elegance in the glass, will love Gutedel.

The variety is primarily at home in the Markgräflerland in Baden as well as in Switzerland, where it is known as Chasselas. At Vinoscout, you will discover three carefully selected Gutedels from this classic home region – including wines from renowned wineries like Ziereisen and Blankenhorn. Prices range between 12 and 25 euros, so there is the right thing for every occasion.

The same grape variety goes by other names depending on its origin. In this selection, you will also find it as Fendant.
