Since the year 996, vines have been growing on the clayey hills of La Côte on Lake Geneva – long before the term terroir even found its way into viticulture. The Domaine owes its name to the chestnut forests that once shaped these slopes and are still part of the identity of this place today.
On 14 hectares of prime location, the estate relies on hand-picking and a planting density of almost 10,000 vines per hectare – a decision that demands depth from the roots and makes the concentration in the glass palpable. The white wines show a clear fruitiness with fine acidity, the red wines convince with elegance and a long, calm finish.
