Cave St. Pierre Alpes Réserve des Administrateurs Fendant du Valais
Chasselas from Valais – that's Swiss wine culture in its purest form. The Réserve des Administrateurs from Cave St. Pierre shows what Gutedel can achieve on Alpine soil: light-bodied, dry, with a distinctive character.
Cave St. Pierre is one of the traditional Valais wineries and cultivates the indigenous Chasselas grape variety – known in Valais as Fendant – at high altitudes in the Alps. The vine benefits from intense sunshine, cool nights, and mineral-rich mountain soil, which gives it a vibrant acidity.
In the glass, it displays a pale straw yellow color. The nose is round and approachable: ripe apple, a hint of white peach, and a touch of herbal spice. On the palate, it is juicy and direct, with a fine bitter note on the finish – typical of a well-made Fendant. The acidity is present but never harsh.
