Domaine Clos Perraud Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur Lie

The Domaine Clos Perraud Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie from Huteau Boulanger is a classic white wine from the Loire Valley – clear, mineral, and with a freshness immediately reminiscent of the Atlantic. It is for those who appreciate dry white wines that are not loud, but precise.

The wine matures for 18 months sur lie – that is, on the lees – gaining texture and a slightly creamy depth that clearly surpasses a simple Muscadet. In the glass, it displays aromas of citrus peel, green apple, and flint; on the palate, a lively acidity with a long, saline finish.

His home is the table:

  • Oysters and mussels – a combination that is hard to beat.
  • Grilled fish and seafood risotto
  • Goat cheese and fresh herb cuisine

Drink it well chilled at about 8–10 °C – as an aperitif or throughout the entire meal.

Huteau Boulanger

Winemakers Catherine and François from Vallet, in the heart of the Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine wine region, are passionate about Melon de Bourgogne, a unique grape variety in the Loire Valley.
