F Negroamaro Salento
This powerful, full-bodied red wine, which is obtained 100% from the local Negroamaro variety, is a remarkable example of viticulture in Apulia.
After a gentle hand-harvest in small crates, a longer maceration period of the grapes follows. 80% of the quantity is macerated for 18 days and 20% with wild yeasts for 25 days, each at controlled temperatures between 24-26° C. Afterwards, the mash is pressed and the must is transferred to barrique barrels, where a malolactic fermentation subsequently takes place. The wine then matures for 8 months in these new barriques made of French and Caucasian oak before it is bottled and stored for another 6 months before it goes on sale.
Color: deep dense purple red Smell: On the nose, we have the typical fruity and spicy aromas of southern Italian red wines. Notes of cherry jam and blackberry
Taste: In the mouth, the "F" is very powerful and muscular. Present but at the same time soft tannins harmonize with a finely integrated acidity. The spicy aromas and the fruity components come into their own.

The Winery
What nineteen winegrower families from San Marzano di San Giuseppe sealed with a handshake in 1962 is today one of the most famous names in Apulia: Feudi di San Marzano.
Around 1,500 winemakers jointly cultivate more than 1,200 hectares of vines in the heart of the Primitivo di Manduria DOP, many of them still in the old Alberello system – the bush-trained vines that have given Salento its face for generations.
The red limestone soil, the sun, and the sea breeze between the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea shape wines that are powerful yet precise. Every grape is harvested by hand; chemical fertilizers are left out.
