Filari Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale fruity sweet

In the region surrounding the town of San Marzano, located almost at the southern tip of Puglia. Vines have been cultivated in this area for over 3,000 years, a tradition that the San Marzano cooperative respectfully honors in all its wines. This modern cooperative winery produces renowned wines from local grape varieties. The wine displays an intense ruby-red color with garnet highlights in the glass. The nose offers intense aromas of ripe fruit, a hint of cherry jam, and dried figs. The palate is long and lingering with a subtle spiciness. The full body gives the wine good structure and pleasant honeyed sweetness, supported by well-balanced acidity. The wine is aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.

Feudi di San Marzano

What nineteen winegrowing families from San Marzano di San Giuseppe sealed with a handshake in 1962 is today one of the most renowned names in Apulia: Feudi di San Marzano. Around 1,500 winegrowers cultivate more than 1,200 hectares of vines together in the heart of the Primitivo di Manduria DOP, many of them still using the traditional Alberello system – the bush-trained vines that have defined the character of Salento for generations. The red limestone soil, the sun, and the sea breezes between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas shape wines that are powerful yet precise. Every grape is harvested by hand, and chemical fertilizers are strictly avoided.
