I Tratturi Negroamaro

I Tratturi Negroamaro
Dark red with violet reflections in the glass — the I Tratturi Negroamaro from Feudi di San Marzano already shows visually what Apulia can do: strength, depth and Mediterranean warmth from Salento.
Feudi di San Marzano is one of the most influential wineries in Salento, the southernmost tip of Italy's boot. The Negroamaro grape variety—literally "black and bitter"—has been rooted here for centuries, thriving on the iron-rich, red sandstone soils under the intense Apulian sun, developing exceptional ripeness and depth. The name I Tratturi refers to the ancient cattle trails of Apulia that crisscross the landscape—a testament to this wine's deep connection to local tradition.
On the nose, it opens with aromas of cassis, black cherry, and dark wild fruits, underpinned by spicy herbal notes of thyme and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is full-bodied and juicy: the tannins are ripe and rounded, well integrated into the fruit without being intrusive. The finish is long, slightly spicy, with a lingering hint of dark berries.
