Collezione Cinquanta Vino Rosso d'Italia San Marzano

Cantine San Marzano Collezione Cinquanta – a red wine that truly lives up to its name: The vines that produce this exceptional Vino Rosso d'Italia are a proud 50 years old . Rooted at an altitude of around 100 meters in the clay-stony soils of Apulia, they struggle through the rock – and it is precisely this hardship that gives the wine a depth and concentration that can be immediately felt in the glass.

During maturation, the wine spends 12 months in French oak barrels , which give it structure, smoothness and fine spice.

In the glass, it shines a rich ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is intense and complex: ripe plums and dark berry jam mingle with seductive notes of vanilla and licorice . On the palate, the Collezione Cinquanta is full-bodied and velvety smooth , with a pleasant intensity and a long, lingering finish.

A red wine with character and history – ideal with grilled lamb, pasta with rich meat sauce or mature hard cheeses .

Feudi di San Marzano

What nineteen winegrowing families from San Marzano di San Giuseppe sealed with a handshake in 1962 is today one of the most renowned names in Apulia: Feudi di San Marzano. Around 1,500 winegrowers cultivate more than 1,200 hectares of vines together in the heart of the Primitivo di Manduria DOP, many of them still using the traditional Alberello system – the bush-trained vines that have defined the character of Salento for generations. The red limestone soil, the sun, and the sea breezes between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas shape wines that are powerful yet precise. Every grape is harvested by hand, and chemical fertilizers are strictly avoided.
