Cantina Terlan Winkl Sauvignon

This pleasantly fine, balanced Sauvignon Blanc presents itself in the glass in a light yellow with a greenish shimmer. With its intensely fruity bouquet, nuances of elderflower, and hints of ripe fruit, it is the ideal companion for green asparagus or fresh goat cheese.

The Winkl vineyard site near Terlan (300-350 m a.s.l.) is characterized by light, sandy porphyry weathering soils and a consistently warm climate.

Fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, storage and maturation on the fine lees for 8 months.

The Cantina

Cantina Terlan

Since 1893, the Terlan winery in the South Tyrolean Adige Valley has stood for what has become rare in modern viticulture: patience. What 24 winegrowers once founded as a cooperative is today one of the most renowned addresses in alpine viticulture.

The house's philosophy focuses on long yeast aging and consistent quality instead of quantity. Terlan proves that white wines from volcanic porphyry soil and an alpine microclimate can be among the longest-lived in the world.
