Terlaner DOC Magnum

The Terlaner DOC from Cantina Terlan is one of South Tyrol's most reliable white wine cuvées — and in the magnum bottle, it ages even more slowly and evenly.

Cantina Terlan is one of Italy's most renowned cooperatives. Since 1893, around 100 winegrower families have been vinifying their grapes together — on porphyry and quartzite soils at altitudes of up to 900 meters. The Terlaner DOC is the house's classic cuvée: Pinot Bianco as the backbone, supplemented by Chardonnay and Riesling Italico.

In the glass, it shows a bright straw yellow with green reflections. On the nose, apple blossom, ripe pear, and a hint of white peach, underpinned by a subtle yeast spice. On the palate, fresh and taut, with lively acidity and a clean, slightly mineral finish. Not a heavy wine — rather precise and straightforward.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. The magnum bottle is well suited for the table for several people — the wine stays fresh in it longer than in the 0.75 l bottle.
Pairs with: asparagus with hollandaise sauce, fried zander, risotto with lemon, or mild goat cheese.

Cantina Terlan

Since 1893, the Terlan winery in the South Tyrolean Adige Valley has stood for something that has become rare in modern viticulture: patience. What 24 winegrowers once founded as a cooperative is today one of the most renowned addresses in alpine viticulture. The house's philosophy focuses on long lees aging and consistent quality instead of quantity. Terlan proves that white wines from volcanic porphyry soil and an alpine microclimate can be among the longest-lived in the world.
