Nova Domus Terlaner Cuvée DOC Riserva Magnum

Nova Domus Terlaner Cuvée DOC Riserva Magnum
The Nova Domus Riserva is the flagship of the Terlan winery – a white wine cuvée from the heart of South Tyrol that shows how age-worthy white wines from this region can be.
The Terlan Winery was founded in 1893 and is today one of Italy's most renowned cooperatives. The vines stand on volcanic porphyry and quartz porphyry soils around Terlan, at up to 900 meters altitude. Cool nights, intense sunlight, and these mineral-rich soils shape the unmistakable style of the wines. The Nova Domus Riserva is created from the best grapes of the vintage harvest – fermented and aged 50% in tonneaux and 50% in large wooden barrels.
In the glass, the cuvée opens with aromas of ripe apricot, passion fruit, and a hint of vanilla from the wood aging. Powerful yet precise on the palate: the acidity carries the wine, a light mineral undertone runs into the long, warm finish. Typical for a white wine Riserva from South Tyrol – plenty of substance, but no heaviness.
Drinking temperature 12–14 °C. Goes well with veal medallions with morels, lobster bisque, or strong mountain cheese from the Vinschgau. The magnum bottle matures particularly evenly and is suitable for special occasions at the table.

Since 1893, the Terlan winery in the South Tyrolean Adige Valley has stood for something that has become rare in modern viticulture: patience. What 24 winegrowers once founded as a cooperative is today one of the most renowned addresses in alpine viticulture. The house's philosophy focuses on long lees aging and consistent quality instead of quantity. Terlan proves that white wines from volcanic porphyry soil and an alpine microclimate can be among the longest-lived in the world.
