Cantina Terlan Terlaner DOC 0.375L
The Terlaner DOC is the calling card of Cantina Terlan — a cuvée that shows why South Tyrol is one of the best white wine regions in Italy.
Cantina Terlan has been producing wine since 1893 in the town of the same name, north of Bolzano, on calcareous porphyry and sandstone soils that give the white wines their characteristic minerality. The Terlaner is composed of 60% Pinot Blanc, 30% Chardonnay, and 10% Sauvignon Blanc —each variety contributing its own element: structure, richness, and freshness. Six months of aging, 70% in stainless steel tanks and 30% in large wooden barrels, ensures depth without over-processing.
Pale yellow in the glass with green reflections. On the nose, apple, pear compote, and a hint of citrus zest—followed by a delicate, almost bread-like yeasty note that makes the cuvée more earthy than a simple table wine. Medium-bodied on the palate, the acidity is well-balanced without being harsh, and the finish is clean and mineral.
The half-liter bottle is ideal for two glasses at dinner: grilled pike-perch with caper butter, asparagus risotto, or mild mountain cheese from Trentino. Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Drink now until 2027.
